The Show
Will Somers was Henry VIII’s fool. In William Tells he allows us to eavesdrop on Tudor life. Having the ear of his King, Will offers a rare insight into Henry's turmoil, disappointment and confusion with church, country and conscience, as he tries to leave England a healthy male heir. A lively, historically accurate musical, the show even boasts a beheading!
“ a splendid job, cramming the accomplishment of many years into an hour-glass. The show thoroughly deserves to be developed and put before a wider audience. I for one hope that this will be the case.” David Packer, historical advisor, RSC’s production of Wolf Hall/ Bring up the Bodies.
“like all the best told stories, the tale was as clear as a bell. For the first time I actually got the history bit. A lot of potential, this should have a future as big as Henry’s girth! Lesley North, Actor and Scriptwriter
“ Amateur in name only, this musical can’t fail to delight an audience seeking a night out without having to venture into central London.” Rob Warren, Everything Theatre“I fervently hope this almost new show, written in a Guildford kitchen and small music studio reaches a wider audience. “ Jon Fox, NODA
